Overview

About the Role & Team
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analytics Developer to join our Corporate Data & Reporting team. This team is not a traditional IT development function — we sit at the intersection of the IT/DWH team and Finance & Business stakeholders, translating data into trusted, decision-ready financial insight. You will act as the bridge between technical data infrastructure and the financial reporting needs of the business, owning the financial data models and reporting layer that senior leadership relies on to make decisions.

What You’ll Do

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between the IT team and Finance & Business users, translating business and financial reporting needs into clear data requirements.
  • Design self-service reporting tools that empower Finance stakeholders and FP&A to explore data and surface their own insights, rather than producing analysis on their behalf.
  • Build strong working relationships with Finance stakeholders to proactively identify reporting needs and opportunities for better data-driven decision-making.

Financial Data Modeling

  • Design and maintain financial-specific data models (e.g. P&L, Balance sheet, revenue/bookings, GL/trial balance) within Snowflake.
  • Define and document business logic, financial hierarchies, and KPI definitions to ensure consistency and accuracy across reports.
  • Partner with the IT team to ensure upstream data pipelines correctly support financial reporting requirements — without owning the pipeline engineering itself.

BI Reporting

  • Design and build Power BI reports and dashboards, using DAX for calculated measures, KPIs, and financial logic.
  • Own the end-to-end reporting experience for Finance and business users — from requirements gathering to final dashboard delivery.
  • Continuously refine reports based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring dashboards remain aligned with evolving business objectives.

AI-Enabled Analytics

  • Leverage AI tools (Claude preferred) to accelerate data modeling, query writing, and financial analysis.
  • Explore and pilot AI-driven use cases that bring transformative insight to financial and business reporting.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or an economic field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Accounting).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Strong background in financial reporting or FP&A, with the ability to model financial concepts (P&L, GL, subledgers) into data structures — not just a technical/BI background.
  • Advanced SQL skills and comfort working with data in Snowflake (or similar cloud DWH).
  • Skills in Power BI and DAX, with a track record of building reporting tools for business/finance audiences.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • A “business partner” mindset — comfortable working between technical teams and Finance, translating between the two.
  • Experience with AI tools (Claude preferred) for analytics or productivity is a plus.

No travel required.
