About the Role & Team
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Imaging and Printing Research team, covering the printing market across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In this role, you will help shape how IDC and its clients understand a fast-evolving market by combining rigorous primary and secondary research with advanced data analysis and close relationships across the vendor and channel ecosystem. This is a high-visibility opportunity to develop deep subject-matter expertise, engage directly with senior industry stakeholders, and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions across the sector.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct primary and secondary research on the EMEA printing market.
- Gather market insights through interviews with vendors, channel partners, and other industry stakeholders.
- Analyze large datasets to identify market trends, business opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
- Learn and apply IDC's proprietary software, methodologies, and analytical tools.
- Ensure the timely delivery of research outputs in line with global research schedules and deadlines.
- Build and maintain relationships with key market players across the vendor and distribution channel ecosystem.
- Collaborate with regional and global research teams to produce high-quality market intelligence and forecasts.
What You Bring
- Knowledge of the IT industry, ideally gained with a printing vendor, IT distributor, channel partner, or market research organization.
- Experience conducting primary and secondary research, preferably across the EMEA region.
- Proven data processing, modelling, and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify key trends and derive actionable insights from large datasets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and presenting research findings to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with industry stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote and geographically dispersed team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; experience with market intelligence platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Market Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
