As the leader of a team of six software development engineers, you will drive the design and delivery of scalable, high-performing web applications that power IDC’s client portal, research delivery systems, and other mission-critical digital services.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and providing day-to-day leadership to a team of six software development engineers.
• Overseeing technical projects from planning to delivery, ensuring solutions are completed on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards.
• Fostering continuous improvement by mentoring team members, promoting skill development, and encouraging knowledge sharing.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-impact digital products and client experiences.
• Defining and communicating a clear technical vision that inspires and aligns the team around IDC’s digital strategy.
• Championing engineering excellence through best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of commercial experience in the software industry, including hands-on full-stack engineering and team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and scalable web application development.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor software engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
• High adaptability, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new technologies and development methodologies.
• Communicative proficiency in both English and Czech (B2+).
