About the Role & Team

Join IDC’s development team to shape the digital experience behind IDC.com — the global platform that enables companies worldwide to make strategic decisions with speed and confidence. As the leader of a team of six software development engineers, you will drive the design and delivery of scalable, high-performing web applications that power IDC’s client portal, research delivery systems, and other mission-critical digital services.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and provide day-to-day leadership to a team of six software development engineers.

• Oversee technical projects from planning to delivery, ensuring solutions are completed on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards.

• Foster continuous improvement by mentoring team members, promoting skill development, and encouraging knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-impact digital products.

• Define and communicate a clear technical vision that aligns the team around IDC’s digital strategy.

• Champion engineering excellence through best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and performance optimization.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of commercial experience in the software industry, including hands-on full-stack engineering and team leadership responsibilities.

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles.

• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).

• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and scalable web application development.

• Proven ability to manage and mentor software engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.

• Excellent communication skills for working across global, cross-functional teams.

• High adaptability, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Communicative proficiency in both English and Czech (B2+ level).
