Responsibilities

Data Quality Testing:
Perform data validation testing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data transformations using DBT.

Validate data quality checks, monitoring systems, and troubleshoot data-related issues in collaboration with the development team.

BI Testing and Validation:
Test Power BI reports and dashboards for functionality, performance, and user experience.

Validate report calculations, data aggregations, and visualizations against business requirements.

Test Planning and Documentation:
Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand business needs and identify testing scope.

Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data warehouse and BI projects.

Document defects, track issues through resolution, and maintain testing documentation.

Quality Assurance Process:
Collaborate with BI developers to establish testing standards and best practices for data projects.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and work closely with business teams to validate solutions.

Growth and Development:
Actively participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions and technical discussions.

Stay updated with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices in data warehousing and BI testing.

Take initiative to learn new testing tools and technologies relevant to the data analytics domain.

 

 

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in manual testing
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing concepts.
- Experience with test case design and execution.
- Familiarity with BI tools testing, preferably Power BI.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with data warehousing testing concepts is a plus.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, or similar data platforms is a plus but not required.
