The Business Value Interviewer must have a strong ability to obtain necessary data and information from virtual interviews based on in-depth interview guides with executives and managers who work at organizations using the vendor solution(s) covered by IDC research. They will have the strong ability to make interviewees feel comfortable discussing the impact of using the vendor solution(s) with them as well as the ability to adapt on the fly to ask follow-up questions and to probe on areas of interest, but while maintaining the integrity of the framework of the in-depth interview guide. The Business Value Interviewer must be able to obtain strong quantitative and qualitative data from interviews and be comfortable pushing interviewed executives and managers to the right extent to obtain the maximum possible information, while ensuring a good interview experience and reflecting well on IDC and the sponsoring vendor.
