We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines that collect, process, and transform raw data from various sources (internal and external). These pipelines will serve as the foundation for creating data products.
  • Collaborate with data product teams to understand data requirements, source data from relevant market research, and integrate it into our systems. You'll ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to create data products that provide actionable insights. These products may include dashboards, reports, predictive models, and recommendation engines.
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the integrity of data products. Address any data anomalies or discrepancies promptly.
  • Optimize data pipelines for scalability, efficiency, and performance. Leverage cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering best practices.
  • Apply your knowledge of data engineering concepts, such as ETL, data modeling, schema design, and database management.
  • Lead approaches to efficiently handle complex structures of data and normalize them into a single database structure.
  • Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Proactively address data-related challenges and troubleshoot issues.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science or related field preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in data transformation (AWS Glue, Airflow), data catalogs, big data, data lakes, data warehouses (Snowflake), data manipulation, data integrations, data merging, data splitting, data type conversions, summaries, aggregations, and scripting.
  • Proficiency in languages like Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in AI, ML, NLP, and API integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services for data storage, processing, and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI/ Large Learning Models
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
